Wages and benefits

We offer fair salaries, in line with market rates and performance-related, and very favourable social benefits. 

Salary: Our wages are based on the salary classes and categories of Bern cantonal public-sector employees. Salaries are set on the basis of the employee’s qualifications, training, the demands, responsibilities and tasks of the role, his or her age and the overall labour market conditions. We operate a transparent salary policy. 

Pregnant women working for SAKK receive full maternity pay for 14 weeks. After 3 years employment, this rises to 16 weeks. 

Paternity leave: Fathers are entitled to ten days paternity leave.
